| The Federal Public Defender for the Northern District of Texas had oral argument in front of the Supreme Court on Monday, February 25, 2008 in the case of Cuellar v. United States. We would like to congratulate Assistant FPD Jerry Beard and Assistant FPD Joel Page on their hard work in writing the appeal and preparing for the oral argument. Mr. Beard did a fantastic job and held up well under some very tough questioning. There were even some funny moments in the argument coming from Justices Scalia, Souter, and Breyer.
